  • 12 months – Fixed Term Contract as an Administration Assistant with icare
  • Hybrid working environment, office in Newcastle NSW
  • Offering starting salary of $ 75,728

About the Role

The Administrator Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of administration functions to support the Workers Compensation division. The role is responsible for delivering timely, compliant, and customer-focused administrative support, contributing to improved business outcomes, enhanced stakeholder experience, and optimised operational performance.

Duties

It’s an exciting time at icare where no two days are the same: as Administration Assistant  you will:

High-Quality Administration & Coordination

Outcome: Administration processes are executed with a high degree of accuracy, efficiency, and compliance, ensuring a seamless and consistent user experience.

  • Provide a range of administrative and processing activities, including document exception handling, new claim registrations, records management, verifying and collating information, and preparing and responding to correspondence to support the Workers Compensation business in achieving its goals.
  • Complete routine financial transactions ensuring compliance to regulatory, legislative and icare requirements
  • Collect and compile information and prepare documentation and correspondence in line with organizational requirements, to support information flow and quality decision making.
  • Respond to a range of service request types and queries according to agreed business processes and escalate or redirect where appropriate.
  • Partner with NSW Claims Service Providers, employers and injured workers and third-party providers to provide efficient and effective administrative support across NSW.

Operational Efficiency & Continuous Improvement

Outcome: Administration processes are streamlined and continuously improved, leading to greater efficiency, reduced processing times and improved outcomes.

  • Provide input, adopt and implement process and system improvements to enhance workflow efficiency and reduce errors.

Compliance & Risk Management

Outcome: Administrative functions are fully compliant with regulatory requirements, minimizing operational risks and ensuring continuous quality.

  • Update and maintain records and databases, complying with administrative systems and processes, to ensure that all information is accurate, stored correctly and accessible.
  • Identify and escalate potential risks, breaches or non-compliance issues to management.

Customer & Stakeholder Experience

Outcome: Internal teams, external partners, customers and stakeholders receive professional administrative support and expert advice, ensuring an enhanced customer experience.

  • Respond to customer and stakeholder enquiries, and escalate and redirect issues as required, to ensure the provision of accurate information and customer satisfaction.

Build and maintain human centric relationships with external and internal stakeholders by providing excellent customer service.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in business administration.
  • Experience in dealing with various systems and databases.
  • Experience working in insurance or workers insurance desirable.
