About the Role
This role is responsible for second line oversight of the fraud control framework across icare for internal and external fraud, with a focus on the prevention, detection, and investigation of fraud activities. Reporting to the GM Assurance & Fraud Prevention, this role will work closely with the business to support the development of appropriate fraud controls, to analyse data and business information to identify areas of high fraud risk and conduct fraud investigations as appropriate.  This role will also build strong external stakeholder relationships to support an environment that successfully investigates and concludes fraud matters.

Duties
It’s an exciting time at icare where no two days are the same: as a Fraud and Investigations Lead you will;
• Conduct reviews including fact-find and investigations on fraud-related matters to ensure that they are delivered on time and support the technical objectives that icare has set out.
• Contribute to building a risk-based annual fraud management and control plan.
• Contribute to planning and conducting individual fraud risk assessments and fraud reviews to assess fraud management and control across icare services and provide advice and recommendations.
• Provide oversight to team in interpretation of data to identify high risk and out-of-pattern usage and highlight anomalies for further investigation.
• Work with key external stakeholders, including SIRA, NSW Police and the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) as appropriate to successfully conclude Fraud investigations and recommend appropriate improvement actions.
• Engage and foster relationships with key internal stakeholders including conducting targeted training, presenting in forums to raise fraud awareness, and providing advice on the appropriate action to address fraud exposure through design of fraud controls.
• Identify, analyse and report on potential benefits realisation from fraud control activities.
• Actively review policy and procedures to identify potential process improvements in relation to fraud management and control.
• Ensure all internal and external reporting is completed within required timeframes.
• Proactively maintain an awareness of current trends, risk, and regulatory matters.
