Duties

It’s an exciting time at icare where no two days are the same; as a Taxation Manager you will:

• Support the General Manager (Financial Management and Reporting) in the management of icare entities’ taxation obligations.
• Prepare / review, approve and lodge icare entities’ Goods and Services Tax (GST), Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT), Insurance Duty and Payroll Tax returns.
• Prepare / review, approve and lodge icare entities’ Taxable Payments Annual Reports (TPAR) for Government entities.
• Provide support and advice to ensure that icare entities registered as PAYG withholders in relation to compensation benefit payments meet their tax compliance obligations.
• Monitor developments, conduct research and provide advice in relation to taxation matters to management and service lines - including advice on the impact of Federal and State tax reforms on icare entities.

 Skills & Experience

• A tax specialist with extensive (10+ years’) experience in managing relevant taxation matters in large organisations, with detailed knowledge of GST, FBT, Payroll Tax and PAYG withholding matters.
• Gather, analyse and report on taxation related data.
• Analysis of complex issues, strategic problem solving.
• Contribute to and development of business plans, and implementation of comprehensive strategies.
• Highly motivated and engaging individual with exceptional stakeholder management skills, who will listen, negotiate, consult, and work in close partnership with stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver required outcomes within agreed timeframes.
