About the Role

Deliver, continuously improve and uplift the Risk Education eXpress (REX) curriculum of learning under the guidance of the Head of Risk & Education and in collaboration with other Client Education Senior Specialist(s). This involves working closely with customers and internal/external SME’s to understand Agency capability development needs and priorities, and to design, develop and project manage the creation and continuous improvement of high-quality education solutions. This will predominantly sit in the Prevention, Mental Health and Wellbeing and Early Intervention space. The role will also include facilitation of Recovery & RTW programs in the REX curriculum.

Duties

 

REX Curriculum Development

 

  • Research and identify changes in the needs of customers to ensure that the REX Workers Compensation curriculum keeps pace with these requirements, and that capability gaps are addressed quickly and effectively. This includes supporting agency capability uplift for workers compensation reform initiatives and the rollout of the roll out and implementation of the Best Practice RTW Framework.
  • Establish and maintain mechanisms for ongoing identification of in-scope capability development needs of agencies collaborating with Client Engagement Managers, icare Prevention, WC Underwriting and Claims professionals, and external Claims Managers.
  • Project manage the design and development of education solutions by external partners and third-party providers to ensure that key deliverables are achieved. This may include leading a tender or expression-of-interest process to secure high-quality vendor/s to partner with on development or delivery of solutions including for eLearns.
  • Lead the instructional design, where appropriate, to develop new education solutions. This includes facilitating and participating in working groups where education solutions may be required.
  • Establish and lead processes to ensure customer co-design of solutions using human centred design and performance consulting approaches.

 

REX Curriculum Delivery & Deployment

 

  • Oversee a pool of high quality internal and external facilitators and presenters, and monitor the quality of delivery, taking appropriate action to address any issues.
  • Facilitate or host, as appropriate, the delivery of education forums and programs.
  • Facilitate key RTW relevant programs in the REX curriculum such as Taking a Strategic Approach to Return to Work (in development) and Connect & Care, Working Effectively with NTDs and other emerging solutions.

 

REX Stakeholder Management & External Research

 

  • Develop high quality relationships with key partners e.g. SafeWork, SIRA, PMO, PSC and Treasury, to maximise cross-government synergies and to ensure their input to design and development, and endorsement of learning solutions relevant to their core area e.g. WHS, RTW, WC Reforms etc.
  • Collaborate with icare SME’s to ensure their input to and sign-off of the design and development of REX learning solutions.
  • Ongoing research into the external education market to keep abreast of best practice, find out what similar education providers are delivering in aligned areas.

 

 

Skills & Expertise

  • 10+ years’ work experience in an adult education role which included development and facilitation of programs focused on behaviour change, leadership and enabling skill development.
  • Experience to include design, development and delivery of multi-channel learning solutions partnering with customers and internal SME’s
  • Working with external SME’s, stakeholders and service providers to design, develop and deliver learning solution
  • Experience working in a broad range of corporate or government environments
  • Experience in General Insurance, Risk Management or Workers Compensation spaces.
  • Experience in mental health and wellbeing support and education.
  • MHFA certification and facilitation experience.
  • Experience working with identification, selection and on-boarding external service providers to deliver learning solutions; including providing feedback on performance.
