Duties

It’s an exciting time at icare where no two days are the same; as a Senior Atlassian Specialist you will:

  • Atlassian Suite Management
  • Lead the administration and optimisation of JIRA, Confluence, and Bitbucket (on premise and cloud).
  • Design and maintain complex workflows, permission schemes, and automation within JIRA.
  • Oversee and support Confluence configurations to enable effective cross-functional documentation practices.
  • Manage and execute server-to-cloud migration for Atlassian tools, ensuring compliance with internal data governance and security requirements
  • System & Platform Administration
  • Act as a senior escalation point, providing expert level support to end users.
  • Drive platform improvements through proactive monitoring and analysis, in response to stakeholder feedback and requirements
  • Security, Compliance & Governance
  • Ensure Atlassian tools are configured and operated in line with icare’s security standards, including data privacy and healthcare data compliance. 
  • Develop and establish standards and processes that guide delivery teams to achieve objectives effectively and within agreed timeframes. 
  • Implement and enforce access controls, audit logging, and data retention policies.
  • Partner with Cyber Security and Risk teams to conduct security reviews, risk assessments and incident response activities.

     • Strategy and roadmap development

  • Contribute to the development of the tooling strategy, aligning platform capabilities with organisational goals, stakeholder needs and emerging technology trends
  • Develop and maintain a roadmap, prioritising initiatives that enhance user experience, improve platform performance, and support delivery across the organisation

Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in Atlassian administration (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket).
  • Proven experience in Atlassian Cloud support and on-prem to cloud migrations.
  • Expertise in complex workflow design, permissions, schemes, and automation in JIRA.
  • Understanding of data privacy, cybersecurity principles
  • Ability to provide first-level support and guidance for business and development teams.
  • Experience setting a product vision, aligning priorities with strategic goals and translating strategy into an actional roadmap
  • Established expertise in workers compensation in a particular area, e.g. PIAWE, WID, commutations.
