The opportunity:

This exciting new created opportunity will see you work closely with the Chief Actuary to provide analysis, support and functional leadership for the Actuarial Team thereby enabling icare to operate in a sustainable financially sound manner

  • Interacting with internal and external stakeholders you will make a difference through the effective production and communication of monitoring, forecasting and analytics
  • Full Time – Permanent role.

It’s an exciting environment where no two days are the same. But on a typical day you might find yourself:

  • Assist in the development of strategy and contribute to financial planning by forecasting various financial situations and analysing possible outcomes
  • Contribute to the long-term performance of the organisation through analytics and recommending new and modified process and procedures and implementing improvements where possible
  • Communicate complex actuarial and analytical modelling and results of analysis to stakeholders at a variety of levels across the organisation and externally
  • Evaluate and enhance the reporting on the performance of the entities managed by icare including process improvements and risk mitigation

Your story so far:

  • Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia (or equivalent qualification) or comparable experience
  • You will hold a Tertiary qualification at degree level in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or another relevant field
  • Proven working experience in leading an Actuarial team and leading projects
  •  General insurance/injury scheme experience is vital
