In this role, you support the regular independent assessment and review of HBCF scheme risk-based pricing models to ensure the highest levels of compliance and alignment of scheme pricing algorithms and associated pricing process to the organisation’s pricing principles and customer promises.

You will also be the central point of contact for internal stakeholders on pricing model changes in the home builder’s portfolio and enable continuous improvement in scheme pricing principles and practices.

It’s an exciting environment where no two days are the same, but on a typical day you might:

  • Work with the Underwriting manager to develop and implement pricing guidelines, principles, recommendations and processes to ensure scheme pricing strategy alignment to the overall icare’s portfolio strategy.
  • Regularly review builder performance against price to ensure alignment to pricing strategy and valuation.
  • Perform data reviews and reconciliations and incorporate into insights and analytics to support implementation of pricing change initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain adequate records on pricing changes and appropriate communications to stakeholder and customer.
  • Develop and implement templates, training materials, process maps, monitoring reports to support pricing performance review.
  • Perform training and present in various forums on pricing monitoring analysis, reporting and modelling.

 Your story so far:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, mathematics or actuarial related fields and 3-5 years recent experience in general lines insurance product risk pricing.
  • Experience managing large data sets used for statistical analysis, with excellent numerical data modelling, presentation and documentation skills.
  • A range of experience in the provision of insurance policy (experience with HBCF scheme preferred) and/or procedural advice or regulatory guidance.
  • Self-reliant team player, with excellent verbal and written communication, problem solving and stakeholder engagement skills.
