The opportunity:

Lead the efficient and effective delivery of the Medical Support Panel (MSP) by providing strategic direction and guidance to MSP members and leading the day to day operations of the panel to ensure appropriate strategies and protocols are in place. 

It’s an exciting time at icare where no two days are the same; as a Manager, Medical Support Panel you will:

    • Set the strategic priorities of the MSP in alignment with the Medical Office, Workers Compensation and icare strategic direction
    • Oversee daily operational management of the MSP to ensure efficient and effective service delivery
    • Manage the operational and financial performance of the MSP, including the budget, financial year forecasting, team structure, resource planning and key performance indicators
    • Drive the development and implementation of strategies to enable the continuous review of operations to improve the quality of services provided by the MSP.
    • Provide advice and recommendations to senior management on low evidence and emerging treatments identified through the MSP which may impact on icare schemes.
    • Lead and coordinate the learning and development of the team to ensure they are equipped to meet service and support requirements.
    • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Your story so far:

  • Experience in leading high performing teams and providing strategic direction, coaching and guidance to team members (up to 5 direct reports)
  • Confident in liaising, presenting to and influencing internal and external stakeholders.
  • Highly resilient and adaptable to a dynamic and changing environment.
  • Solution-focused approach with experience developing strategies and providing operational direction to the review and development of workplace management practices and procedures.
  • Extensive workers compensation experience and operational leadership experience 
  • Tertiary healthcare qualification preferred
