The opportunity:

The role is responsible for identifying areas for improvement, performing complex analytical analysis on data to identify and articulate trends, finalise reporting, actions and decisions for a range of stakeholders across the Nominal Insurer Scheme.

It’s an exciting time at icare where no two days are the same; as a Head of Insights, Analytics & Reporting you will:

  • Delivery of scheme wide insights and reporting to facilitate a range of purposes, including Claims Service Provider performance, Third Party Service Provider performance, and associated Board and Executive communication.
  • Partner with Senior and Executive leaders to formulate business needs for dashboards that are industry leading.
  • Partner with the central Data & Analytics team to drive dashboard creation.
  • Lead a team of insights storytellers to design and develop predictive tools, support forecasting and sizing of initiatives to drive prioritisation, draw insights from complex data and articulate stories that facilitate business discussions and improvements.
  • Design and create customer centric reports that allows greater understanding of the Workers Compensation scheme and provider performance.
  • Proactively interprets data/information across the Workers Compensation scheme to identify areas for improvement, perform analytical analysis and derive actions for senior leadership in order to improve performance and identify critical impacts.
  • Lead critical complex operational data analysis, interpret and analyse data, and contribute to the policy development for the Scheme’s strategic objectives.

Your story so far:

  • Significant experience in a similar or related role
  • Extensive experience in analysing data and identifying and presenting meaningful insights to inform business performance, future strategy and decision-making
  • Extensive experience in the insurance/finance industry combined with experience in balancing commercial objectives with regulatory requirements.
  • Strong leadership and managing skills – this role has about 5 direct reports.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in relevant fields
