The opportunity:

An exciting opportunity has become available for a 24-month fixed-term position to support the Senior Finance Business Partners (SFBPs) with the process of management reporting, forecasting and budgeting across all icare’s Enterprise Project Portfolio.

You will also support the SFBPs to manage relationships across icare’s Enterprise Project Portfolio as well as identify and deliver process improvements and be given the opportunity to step up into the SFBP position when coverage is required.

It’s an exciting environment where no two days are the same, but on a typical day you will:

  • Support the SFBPs and business stakeholders by producing high quality internal management reports to enable effective business decision-making.
  • Provide accurate information and assistance in managing financial performance.
  • Work with the SFBPs to ensure that the forecasts, budgets and business cases are robust and accurate; and together with the SFBPs understand levers that are available to manage financial performance.
  • Understand and be able to explain key drivers and top down constraints when developing forecasts, budgets and business cases.
  • Support the SFBPs to liaise with the business and provide advice and insights to deliver financial outcomes as required, including end to end ownership of specified business relationships. 
  • Assume accountability for Senior business partner support for relevant projects and programs/portfolio on a short-term basis as required, to ensure continuity of key deliverables & advice.

Your story so far:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant or Certified Practising Accountant
  • Finance Business Partner experience, together with experience working with a large project portfolio
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with proven success in positively engaging with a business to reach optimal outcomes
  • Advanced skills in Excel required; VBA skills an advantage
  • Strong attention to detail, resilient, adaptable with a positive attitude “can-do” and a team-based approach to work.
