The opportunity:

This role is responsible for monitoring compliance to internal, external and legislative standards and coordinating required management plans within the Claims portfolios. You will review and manage data quality to ensure information accuracy, quality and compliance is maintained.

It’s an exciting environment where no two days are the same, but on a typical day you will:

  • In consultation with the Performance Manager oversee all aspects of strategic program development and implementation, including communication and change management plans, in relation to compliance and data quality.
  • Implement compliance and data quality program in collaboration with Claims teams.
  • Monitoring data quality and legislative performance of the service provider and working with the relevant portfolio leads to identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and implement best practice and processes to ensure claim data is captured in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide technical advice on the interpretation and application of data and compliance related activities.
  • Align data quality initiatives to internal performance measures and actuarial analysis.
  • Provide guidance and direction for the claims business in relation to claims data cleansing and remediation activities.

Your story so far:

  • Experience in personal injury or Life insurance (Workers Compensation preferred).
  • Understanding of the legislation and regulatory framework relevant to Workers Insurance.
  • Understanding of the management of claims in an empathetic manner with strong resilience.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing data quality and compliance programs and reporting.
  • Proven ability to collate, review and analyse data and clearly communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Experience or ability to acquire proficiency in the use of data monitoring tools.
  • Ability to create appropriate and engaging presentations and documentation, including intermediate skills in the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
