The opportunity:

Lead in the co-ordination of data collection and insights across the Workers Compensation scheme to articulate the performance of the business, identify areas for improvement, perform complex analytical analysis on data to finalise reporting, actions and decisions for senior management.

It’s an exciting time at icare where no two days are the same; as a Business Insights Lead you will:

  • Work closely with the Business Optimisation teams to understand executive reporting and board paper requirements and provide relevant business insights to support reporting.
  • Interpret data/information across the Workers Compensation scheme to identify areas for improvement, perform analytical analysis on data and derive actions in order to improve performance.
  • Work with relevant stakeholders to identify initiatives that address and improve performance in line with Return to Work and Support (RTW&S) strategic objectives.
  • Delivery of succinct presentations both written/verbal to the senior leadership team for them to make appropriate decisions.
  • Lead critical complex operational data analysis, interpret and analyse data, and contribute to the policy development resulting in improved performance.

Your story so far:

  • Significant experience in a similar or related role.
  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in relevant fields.
  • Extensive experience in analysing data and identifying and presenting insights to inform strategy and decision making ( 5+ years)
  • Extensive experience in the financial/insurance industry combined with experience in balancing commercial objectives with regulatory requirements.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Leadership skills as this role involves at least 1 direct report.
